This is a martingale style pulling collar. It attaches over the swells of your saddle, NOT through your saddle hardware.  The leather tugs have no hardware.

This is the Original Tumbling J Mohair pulling collar. It is designed to distribute the load around a horse’s neck and shoulders when pulling. 

This collar is meant to be adjusted snuggly against the horse.  Take care that you do not pull it up too high, interfering with your horse’s breathing; conversely, do not leave it loose and hanging low, as this negates the purpose of this style of collar.   This style collar is excellent for maintaining free shoulder movement while also never needing a wither strap.  

The “V” center of the collar should sit BELOW the horse’s neck.  The center down strap should fit closely, but not tight,  between  the horse’s front legs, attached to the front cinch d-ring.  Do not leave the center down- strap hanging low if you are pulling, as it could inhibit your horse’s breathing.
